Engagement Photos Tomorrow

Kelly & I have our engagement photos tomorrow on UGA's north campus in Athens, GA. Not only did Kelly and I spend some wonderful years in school at UGA, but north campus was where I first told her I loved her and where I proposed. In addition, north campus is a beautiful place with both historic and modern perspective. We won a free engagement session after Kelly won a worst school photo contest with this picture. Thanks to those of you who voted that helped make our engagement session at no cost to us. Tomorrow's forecast:

Unfortunately, it just isn't practical to start at 6 with the nice and cool 67 so we plan to start around 10:00. I imagine we will leave Augusta around 8 heading to Athens and while in the car, the temperature will rise 15 degrees during the drive. Despite the high temperatures, the humidity should be low which will make for a very pleasant morning of pictures. I sweat indoors so hopefully temperature won't make too much effect on me. And Kelly is always beautiful so I'm looking forward to it. I'll post pictures as soon as we get them.

Inspiration

Not much to blog about lately...Cary and I are trying to focus on school work since all of the major wedding decisions have been taken care of. We've gone to a lot of weddings this summer (4), and we still have two more left! Whew! But we enjoy them because not only do we get to see friends make lifelong commitments, but we get to see a little inspiration and jot down a few notes for our own wedding!
Here's some websites that have offered me some inspiration lately: Style Me Pretty, Little Black Book, and Once Wed. They all have great DIY projects as well as some very unique wedding ideas.
Of course, The Knot and Get Married are two great website resources as well. I use all of these websites to distract me from studying, so if you know of any other websites that I can use for distraction, I mean research, let me know!

www, Physical Therapy, and Goats

Sorry for the delay, but I finally got our site address fixed. You can now go to www.caryandkelly.com whereas before, the "www" was not included. No real updates with wedding planning, but Kelly and I know where we will be for our clinical rotation in Spring 2010. Kelly will be having a rotation at Select Physical Therapy in Cumming, GA and I will be at MCG Health, Inc. in Augusta, GA.

On another note, our future profession is getting some good press. Rafael Nadal recently announced he would be trying physical therapy rather than surgery in hopes of participating in Wimbledon.

On a final note, Kelly and I picked up a few goats in South Carolina this afternoon with the help of Daryl, a friend of ours from school. Kelly's dad has been talking about wanting a few more goats for the pasture and his birthday is coming up so I've been looking online and we finally were able to find some using Craigslist. I guess these kinds of things happen when you're going to marry a girl from the country.
Four goats inside Daryl's dog, Mojo's kennel...they made a huge mess.
The two babies enjoying much greener pastures!

Our First Wedding Gifts!

Cary and I received a couple of packages in the mail this week! We were super excited to open them! One was from Cary's grandmother, Granny...

Our complete set of dishes!!

And the other gift was from Busch Cummings and Jennifer Hill. Busch is a high school friend of Cary's and one of Cary's groomsmen. He and Jenn are getting married in just a couple weeks and Cary is a groomsman for their wedding as well!
From Busch Cummings and Jenn Hill (soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Cummings)Calphalon bakeware and measuring spoons!
Thank you all so much! It was such a wonderful surprise to receive such early wedding gifts, and we are very thankful of your support of our new lives together!
Love,
Kelly and Cary
